Portal and Portal 2 are both very well optimised for OS X.

I would also recommend Grid 2 as it it looks gorgeous and also runs pretty well on OS X. Old GTAs run well because they're so old (anything before IV will run just fine on Intel Iris graphics) and The Walking Dead is pretty great too.

Driver San Francisco is also worth having a look at. Most indie games can run on pretty much anything, and Iris will be more than enough for the majority of them.

I urge you to check out Super Hexagon, Race The Sun, FTL, Super Meat Boy and Gunpoint. Surgeon Simulator should also run quite nicely. In regards to using BootCamp, you need to have a copy of Windows to set it up (you should be able to find a genuine copy for about $50-60) and it's very easy to set up from there. You need to allocate an amount of space from your SSD for Windows (minimum 35-40GB, more if you plan on installing large games on the SSD). If you have an external drive of any sort, I would recommend using it to install Steam games on to conserve precious SSD space. From my experience, you will probably notice a 10-20% performance increase for gaming in Windows compared to OS X (though this depends mainly on what game you are playing). There is of course the added benefit of being able to play games that are unavailable on OS X, though I have found a few that run very well, most games will be playable (at least at the lowest settings).

The Windows-only games the I have found run best are Grow Home, Star Wars Battlefront II and Just Cause 2 (JC2 is very well optimised, you can expect 40-60fps on low at 720p or 30fps if you increase the settings, this is probably the best looking game you can expect to run well on Iris graphics). I haven't played many games through BootCamp so I can't give you many other suggestions, but if you have a look through Steam you'll probably find a few, there are also lots of games available on OS X that I haven't tried, pick some stuff up when it's on sale and just see how well it runs. You'll work out soon enough which ones work for you:) • • • •. I play Civilisation V on OS X and it runs really well, although fps drop as you progress, as it starts to struggle with the hundreds of units, but it's still totally playable. League of Legends runs perfectly, of course.
