Outlook: Disable and enable previewing attachments in Reading Pane. For instance, you received an e-mail message with an attachment of workbook in Outlook. Normally you can preview the attachment of workbook directly in the Reading Pane without downloading it.

I'm trying to replicate an Excel spreadsheet that someone sent me and I can't figure out how. The print area is set, and all cells outside the print area are greyed out.

Excel for mac 2011 help

The cells aren't simply shaded, because Excel says they have no fill, and they aren't hidden/locked/protected because I can still edit them just like normal cells. The only difference is that they're greyed out and the print area has a thick blue border around it. This spreadsheet doesn't have any macros, either. What feature of Excel is this using?

Some thoughts: • If you had Office 2008 for Mac installed on a previous release of OS X, and then updated to macOS Sierra, you should perform a complete uninstallation of Office 2008 for Mac, using the Microsoft uninstall tool in the Office folder in /Applications. • Then, from the Office 2008 for Mac media, perform a new install, and then continue to update until you are at the last revision. • Reboot your Mac. • If this is a fresh install of Office 2008 for Mac, make sure that you are updated to 12.3.6. • Are you attempting to open an Excel document created by a newer version of Mac or Windows Excel.

It may have a different document structure than what was available in 2008, and your older Excel could be complaining about that issue. Whatsapp for mac no longer free version. Conversely, a real old Excel document may not open either. • Install the free v5.3.1.2 fresh (current of this post), and open your Excel file in it. If it opens, then perform a Save As.

To a new Excel filename of File type: Microsoft Excel 2007-2013 XML (.xlsx). Now open this file in Excel 2008. Microsoft Office 2008 is not and never has been officially supported for use with Sierra. This does not mean it categorically will not work but it means your on your own and Microsoft are no longer providing any fixes for this version. Remember Office 2008 is a decade old, in computing terms to say this is pre-historic is a major understatement.

Office 2011 is no longer sold but is still supported and is currently at version 14.7.2, and Office 2016 is the version currently being sold. Office 2011 may well end support in the next year. Even Office 2011 has some minor Sierra related issues, e.g. A product activation issue. Even Office 2004 could in theory open Microsoft Open XML formats e.g.docx but it required installing an optional add-on from Microsoft. When you then tried opening these formats this add-on translated them so Office 2004 could understand them.
